The Zohar says, if you want to create a perfect lie, build it upon the foundation of truth.

Rav Yehuda Ashlag wrote in his articles that when we deviate from our path even a hair's breadth, we won't arrive at the palace of God.
The New Testament prophesies that, in the end of days, many false prophets and Christs will appear to delude the masses. That's why in the present day we must be even more careful about the discernment between lies and truths. A perfect lie is founded upon the base of truth. In this way the lie will be barely recognizable under the layer of a pretended holiness. Energy often speaks louder than mere words. Jesus and the Apostles had the power to see into the hearts of people and their true agendas.
First, we must inform you about false preachers of the gospel. True preachers or teachers don't attach themselves to you like ticks. The New Testament warns us that we should not lose ourselves in endless debates about who might be right. It tells us about divisive people, that we should admonish them two times, and if they continue in their ways, ignore them. The Apostles were not in need of praying on others to force them against their own will. They were not in need of practicing sorceries or rituals upon others to let them recognize truth. What the Apostles did was that they came with the scripture, the Tanakh (Torah, Prophets, and Writings), to prove their standpoint and belief. Then people, no matter if they were Jews or gentiles, had the option to decide if they wanted to accept this teaching about the Messiah or not. There was no need to begin a spiritual warfare against unbelievers. This is very important to note, because nowadays we see so many deviations into harmful practices that completely violate all the principles and laws of God.
A false teacher will always be triggered by the words of the Bible. That's why they will continue their way into endless illogical debates before they would admit they're wrong. Someone who is standing in the truth of scripture is not in need of forcefully convincing others. He can show them the truth one or two times. If people won't accept it, let them go their own ways. Don't even pray on them in a manipulative manner. As said, the Bible nowhere teaches us that we must coerce others into our own belief. On the contrary, be busy with studying God's word every day. Come yourself every day closer to the truth of scripture. Scripture is not a matter of mere blind faith, but we must learn to discern the apples from the pears, so to say. We cannot take one single verse of scripture and build upon it our own deception.
There might be verses in the Bible that are open for interpretation, but when the Bible says A, we cannot say B. We have seen how a historical record of bloodshed and murder has developed out of a distortion of scriptures. Also, the New Testament is not emphasizing that we must belong to a certain institution or religion. Rather, it encouraged the followers of Christ to ask the Holy Spirit for advice. What are the true fruits of the Holy Spirit? Compassion, good deeds, and a good conscience before God. Someone who is refusing this refuses the word of God. The Apostle Paul, for example, was hard to understand, and false teachers will take this opportunity to lead their followers into a path of lawlessness. The New Testament promises the true followers of Christ that in the end they will even have the authority to judge over kings and angels, but before we can judge others, we ourselves must stick to high standards of the law. If we ourselves are lawless, we cannot dream of judging others one day according to a certain law. The New Testament states that even the righteous are barely saved, so what will happen then with the sinners, who reject the law of God? (1 Peter 4:18). Be eager and steady in the study of God's word. Faith without deeds is dead (James 2:26). Always scrutinize yourself if you're standing in the true light of God. Don't be deceived into doctrines of the adversary. The adversary is a liar and a deceiver. He will seduce many good people into his lies and deceptions. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. As said, the fruits of the Holy Spirit are honesty, compassion, faithfulness, good deeds, and love for thy neighbor. Avoid money-making institutions, because the love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Don't drink just water (literally and symbolically), but also wine (1 Timothy 5:23). This does not only count for a sickness but also to remember the death of the Messiah. Honor the body of Christ; eat from it in a state of worthiness. Avoid liars and teachers who are leading you astray from the true path of God, because the gate is narrow (Matthew 7:14).
