The Path We Choose Determines Everything Else

As soon as we choose a new pathway for ourselves we jump into a complete universe. The path determines every one of my thoughts and desires. I connect with the authors of the books I'm reading, and the teachers I'm learning. The path I select is the source of the energy I'm receiving in life. We can imagine, that there's a chain of souls, and every soul imparted its consciousness to the next one in a cascading chain until it reaches me down in this world.

It is not the information we receive from the books, but the consciousness of the author or translator. We find for example many books about Kabbalah, written by smart scholars, which for sure provide you with excellent information, but you won't be able to receive much light from those, because most of those scholars were not in real spiritual attainment.

It's often said, that energy speaks volumes, and when we come to a Kabbalistic book, we must feel if it builds us up, if it gives us a feeling of ease or if it's more feeling like a burden to myself. The true source of wisdom lifts you up, it doesn't drag you down. The authentic books give yourself a force, called 'certainty' instead of doubt and fear.

Alone the two different Zohar editions I've studied in the last months are worlds apart, although it's the same book. But the translators and commentators come from completely different approaches to Kabbalah, and while the one edition might make you intellectually wise, it won't give you the energy and consciousness to completely transform your life.

We should also not listen on evil tongue of others, but trust our own intuition. Because the great Kabbalists out there have been always disaffirmed by their envious criticizers. And so they began to make up stories about them, while the true Kabbalist stays mostly silent and accomplishes his mission. Those who in the public are presented as charlatans and evildoers must not always be the real charlatans, but mostly it's the opposite way.

A real path of transformation must change everything in our lives. When we get stuck on a path where even after years absolutely nothing has changed, it's a sign I'm not connected with the right teacher. Rather follow your intuitive mind than mere rationality or what others tell you for stories. Trust the whispering of your own soul instead. Choose your teachers and your path wisely from heart and not from brain.
