All negative precepts of the Torah start with 'you shall not'. What does this principle mean in general? That you should not do things out from your separate self — your separate 'I'. All that you do out of your own decisions, your own plans, your own doing in the end can only fail. This is also, why we see so many successful people, who paid a heavy price for their success. Why for example so many relationships of rich or well-known people fail? Why so many destroyed families, or problems with the health or the psyche? Or then there are the people, who always put great effort the entire day, but never realize their own plans. Why is this so? Because true success and true fulfillment can only come from the light, and we can only can connect ourselves with the light, when we make ourselves to a pure channel for it. We must learn to go out of our own way, and this will create a new order in our lives. This order now comes not from the rational mind — not from our plans, or smartness. But now we begin to go with the whole. And when we go with the whole existence, with the natural flow of all being, all can end up only in real success. And real success never demands a price in other domains of our being. Real success means to have it all — everywhere, not just at money or recognition. And this is the real meaning of 'You shall not.' It means get out of your own way, begin to follow the intuitive rather than the mere rational. The rational mind is just a tool, a helper, not the leader. The true leader is the whispering of your own soul, which calls you — and you will answer.
